Story Line Rules

Story lines are going to be a new addition to LEI. The basic idea is that within the huge list of unsorted notes on the Running RP, we understand that there are a few of you out there who write notes that are more like a series. Sometimes it's individual, other times it's within a group. This is what Story Lines are for. Here are the basic guidelines for requesting a story line:

1st - Be aware that you can only request a story line for your own notes. If the story line involves notes from other individuals, we will need a similar request from them or at least a written waiver saying that yes, you do want to be included in this story line.

2nd - We will NOT be creating new boards for a new story line every day, chances are it will be something we will check only a couple of times during the week. This means, if you post a request for a story line, and it's been a couple of days and you have not heard back from us, that does not mean we have ignored your request for one, we simply have not come to the day of the week were story lines will be added. So you don't need to hound us about them, but just be patient.

3rd - Be aware that if you have a created story line on here, to use the name of that story line in the subject of your notes on DS so that it will make it easier for us to know which notes belong in which story line.

Examples:
The Sojourn Part 1
The Sojourn - Wild Heart
A Storm Brews (The Sojourn)

Or anything similar as long as the name of the story line is included in the title.

4th - You cannot create a story line with a name that has already been used unless it was a story line you had created, closed and now wish to re-open.

5th - Please let us know when your specific story line is over. Story lines can be subject to being closed by an Admin if we see no activity for a lengthy period of time.

6th - All story lines are subject to being terminated if rules are violated or if the LEI is abused as per the discretion of the Administrative Staff.

Here is the formula we want you to use when requesting to start a story line:

1. Your Name
2. Name of other players involved
3. Title of your story line
4. Which notes that are already posted that are included in your story line
5. Whether this is open or closed RP
